worried psychic beautiful dynamic range, jeff and the boys taking some of their weirdest turns. sounds like if YHF stayed awake for a few days. always wonder what this would've sounded like if Nels was in the band at this point. Favorite track: Company In My Back.

Yimmy Kil A lot of people say Yankee is their masterpiece. It is a great album but I’ve always felt this is their true masterpiece. Such a complex and brilliant album with so many sonic layers and textures. This has always been my favorite and always will be. Favorite track: Hummingbird.

Tristan Louth-Robins One of the most important/influential records for me. As Jim O'Rourke put it: "it sounds like unending pain." Glorious and beautiful. (I'm replacing my missing CD from 2004 with a lossless copy. )

about

Wilco juxtaposes its fearlessly experimental side with, as the Los Angeles Times put it, “a bottomless well of melodic invention” evocative of Dylan, the Band, Hendrix, and the Beatles. U.K.’s The Guardian calls A Ghost Is Born “a dramatic, ambitious album that dares you to rise to its challenge.” Winner of the 2004 Grammy Awards for Best Alternative Music Album and Best Recording Package.
